If You Cross 11/15 It Means You Know Mammals Effectively

You Know Mammals Well
Mammals are vertebrate animals constituting the category Mammalia and characterised by the presence of mammary glands which in females (and generally males) produce milk for feeding (nursing) their younger, a neocortex (a area of the mind), fur or hair, and three center ear bones.

These traits distinguish them from reptiles and birds, from which they diverged within the late Triassic, 201–227 million years in the past. There are round 5,450 species of mammals. The most important orders are the rodents, bats and Soricomorpha (shrews and others). The following three are the Primates (apes, monkeys, and others), the Cetartiodactyla (cetaceans and even-toed ungulates), and the Carnivora (cats, canines, seals, and others).

Like birds, mammals are endothermic. The trait developed independently in these two lessons and is an instance of convergent evolution.
